The WCH Emergency Food Pantry relies solely on donations from our church family. We strive to maintain an Emergency Food Pantry stocked with items from our Pantry Inventory List. These specific items were chosen to allow us to provide families with the basic, essential items needed in an emergency situation.
Who can receive food from the Emergency Food Pantry?
Anyone from the Western New York area or our church family that is experiencing an emergency need, can receive assistance from the Food Pantry.
Where do I go to pick up groceries from the Food Pantry?
Stop by the Central Office, located inside Door #1, at 4999 McKinley Parkway, Hamburg during weekday business hours (9am-4pm)
What do I need to bring with me, and what information will I need to provide?
You will be required to complete an Emergency Need Application. You will need to provide your name, address, phone number and email address.
How often can I receive assistance from the Food Pantry?
Families can utilize the Food Pantry once a quarter. We are an Emergency Food Pantry designed to help in an emergency situation, and not on a weekly or monthly basis. If you are in need of long term assistance, we can help you in locating the WNY Food Bank in your home town.
We welcome your donation items from this Pantry Inventory List:
boxed dry or hot cereal, boxed macaroni & cheese, potato flakes or stuffing mix, 16-28 ounce canned baked beans, 1 jar of apple sauce, 18-22 ounce jar of jelly, 16-18 ounce peanut butter, 64 ounce bottled juice, canned fruit
boxed or packaged pasta side dish, boxed or packaged rice side dish, canned soup, canned tuna, pancake Syrup, Manwich or sloppy joe sauce.
DONATION DROP OFF: Please drop off your new, unopened, unexpired donations at the Food Pantry Bin located at thet op of the ramp (near the KidVenture Lodge exit) at our McKinley location or at the Central Church Office (Mon-Fri 9am-4pm). We cannot give out food that is opened, past its expiration date, or food that does not have an expiration date listed.
